Today, 7.17.17, I hit the big 3-0!
Yes, I am officially 30 years young. I always believed that once I turned 30, life as I have known it, would never be the same again…
“The fun part is over.”, I thought.
But, I was so wrong because there is a lot to celebrate and look forward to!
Because this year…
I’m checking off an item in my bucket list by launching my blog. After so many years of doubting and procrastinating, I finally mustered up the courage to publish my blog.
My husband and I are celebrating our 2nd Wedding Anniversary! You know the thing about the first 2 years of marriage being the hardest? Level Complete!
Our daughter will also turn 1 this year! I’m so excited for that!
and… tan ta ra rraaannn….
I’m saying goodbye to the corporate world to be a Professional Mommy! This blog will be my outlet as I bid adieu to the office work and say hello to the amazing world of nap times, dirty diapers, and messy home. Lol!
Kidding aside, we settled with this decision because my husband and I understand the importance of spending time with our daughter and with each other. It’s our priority.
I therefore conclude that Life Begins at 30!
Who is Mommy Krystal, anyway?
[Miss Universe intro]
KRYSTAL UY, 30, PHILIPPINES!!
My name is Kharlyn Gayle Caroche – Uy. “Krystal” is actually my nickname, hence, the MommyKrystal.com!
I was born and raised in Iriga City, Camarines Sur. I had a normal childhood in the province. Back then, “normal” was running around the streets and playing tumbang preso, chinese garter, and tagu-taguan all day – going home dirty, greasy, and stinky. We played with dirt, rode our bikes, and bathed in the rain.
Ah, life before smartphones and internet…
I have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and I’m a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). I’ve worked for top corporations as an Auditor for the past 8 years.
At my first job in an audit firm was where I met my husband, Vauhn (also a CPA). It was there that he was bewitched by my genuine beauty and undeniable charm. *wink*
We actually started out as office buddies. Next thing we know, we were together.
The road to the altar was bumpy and complicated, but we made it through. After 5 years, we said our I Do’s!
Soon after, I was moody, vomiting, and always pissed off at my husband. I didn’t know that we were already expecting!
9 months later, Baby Avery Rigel was born.
Rigel is now 10 months old. This cutie really knows how to charm her Mom and Dad to get what she wants. I’m finding it harder and harder not to spoil her! When her curiosity is at its peak, it can really be exhausting. But we acknowledge the importance of exploratory learning, so we make sure that we support and encourage her interests.
If you’re here for the first time, Welcome to my blog! I write about parenting, mommy hacks, family travels, beauty, and fashion. I aim to help moms and moms-to-be in raising their babies by sharing my experience and advice. My ultimate goal is to create a fun community of like-minded moms willing to help each other in any way they can.
